Saint-Barth -

Conseil territorial: decisive vote on the single financial account

The elected members of Saint-Barthélemy's territorial council have been called to the Hôtel de la Collectivité at 5pm on Monday June 30 to vote on the approval of the 2024 single financial account. The meeting was called on Friday evening, as a matter of urgency, following the rejection of the same deliberation by a majority of elected representatives. The eight councillors of the Action-Equilibre group voted against approval of the CFU, while the six elected members of Saint-Barth d'Abord abstained. Only the four councillors of the Presidential group (Xavier Lédée did not take part in the vote) voted in favour. June 30 is the deadline for adoption of the CFU 2024. If the three formations maintain their position this Monday in the territorial council, the single financial account not approved by the assembly will be forwarded by the Prefect of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy to the Chambre territoriale des comptes for examination and validation. A positive vote by the CFU on Monday evening will lead to a second deliberation: the allocation of the final operating result for fiscal year 2024. If the CFU rejects this vote, the second deliberation will not be validated.
