Red Cross: Annual closure of the Gustavia store

The Red Cross regional office in Saint-Barthélemy has announced the annual closure of its charity shop in Gustavia, effective June 6. The shop is scheduled to reopen in late October. This closure will allow for the expansion of the Red Cross’s premises. The goal of this expansion is to improve the organization’s reception facilities and operational capacity on the island. With this in mind, the Red Cross states that it will no longer accept donations, and no items should be dropped off until the reopening in late October. “This measure is essential to allow for the complete clearing of the premises and the smooth progress of the upcoming work,” the delegation emphasizes. At the same time, it is issuing an appeal to all residents and visitors: “Come find some great deals before we close! We need your help to clear out as much inventory as possible before construction begins.” Every purchase made at the store directly contributes to funding the French Red Cross’s initiatives on Saint Barthélemy, serving the local population and the most vulnerable individuals.
