The President of the Collectivité territoriale has been in Paris since the beginning of the week. Xavier Lédée is accompanied by vice-president Marie-Angèle Aubin and technical services director Chloé Cohan. The main purpose of his visit was to take part in the 106th Congress of French Mayors being held in Issy-les-Moulineaux. This presence enabled Xavier Lédée to meet with elected representatives from overseas, notably during the debate on ways to overcome the water crisis. But the President also had other important appointments on his agenda.
The first was an interview with Emmanuelle Wargon, President of the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). JSB tried to reach the Chairman by telephone, but without success. The content of the exchanges that animated his meeting with Emmanuelle Wargon were therefore not disclosed. However, there is little doubt that they focused on the Multi-Year Energy Plan (PPE) presented by the Collectivité de Saint-Barthélemy to the CRE, which is still awaiting validation.
On the evening of Monday November 18, Xavier Lédée, Marie-Angèle Aubin and Chloé Cohan accepted an invitation from Saint-Barthélemy senator Micheline Jacques (also president of the French senatorial delegation) to attend the meeting.President of the Senate Delegation for Overseas France) to a dinner organized at the Senate in honor of elected representatives from overseas France. The event was attended by the President of the French Senate, Gérard Larcher, and the French Prime Minister, Michel Barnier.
On Tuesday, the President of the Collectivité was heard by the National Assembly as part of an information mission on the institutional future of overseas France. Yesterday, Wednesday, he was received at Ladom (L'agence de l'Outre-mer pour la mobilité), then at the Ministry of Justice and, finally, by the Major General of the National Gendarmerie, General André Petillot. This Thursday, after another foray into the mayors' congress to attend a conference on crisis prevention and management, Xavier Lédee is scheduled to meet with Amélie Verdier, Director General of the DGFiP (Direction générale des finances publiques).
Finally, tomorrow, Friday November 22, the President is scheduled to meet with François-Noël Buffet, Minister for Overseas France.
